Silent
by Patrick StackSilent audio
Silent was written in the early 1980s and imagines a city without its human inhabitants. It seems to be peculiarly apt to our present circumstances with the COVID-19 lockdowns in most of the world. It is published in the second section of the dual poetry collection “13 ::: The Tenderness of Knives” (Amethyst Dragon, 2019) which is Stack’s third collection.
This recording was made by the poet in his home on 22 April 2020.
