Bringlóid audio

Bringlóid is the Irish (Gaelic) word for “dream” and the poem is a dream/nightmare sequence composed in the first half of 2010. The first to hear it in its finished form was my friend and fellow poet Brendan O’Beirne shortly before his death, hence the dedication to him.
It is taken from my first poetry collection, The Parting (2013). The accompanying image is a detail of a drawing in biro I did, titled ‘Despair‘ in the early 1980s.
This recording was made on 04 July 2020.
